Voyager 1 Saturn Images – True color global image
True color global image
An approximately true color/contrast global image assembled from orange, green and blue images obtained by Voyager 1 on October 18, 1980 at a range of 34 million km. This image is processed from the last set of images completely showing Saturn and the rings in a single set of images. Dione is obvious near Saturn but Mimas is also faintly visble below and to the right of the rings near the right edge of the image.
